Elements Music & Arts Festival
Elements Music Festival had done well establishing itself as a mainstay of the immersive music festival scene within the US, but needed help recovering from poor event performance in 2021. After a prosperous 2022 partnership, Elements reengaged Friends of Friends to facilitate growth strategies as they continued expansion in 2023.
At the beginning of the engagement with Elements in 2022, Friends of Friends performed an audit of previous marketing campaigns to identify opportunities for improvement within their marketing strategy. Friends of Friends determined that the content strategy was not taking full advantage of all possible mediums as well as utilizing the right format for each medium. Friends of Friends developed a comprehensive marketing plan across social media and paid advertising platforms as well as email and sms direct marketing. Additionally Friends of Friends established out of home ads, street marketing teams, and contests in order to gain awareness for the 2022 event.
Continuing into the 2023 campaign, Friends of Friends created an expansive marketing strategy that focused on increasing reach and capitalizing on the positive outcome of 2022. Friends of Friends utilized new and improved content from the 2022 festival to create highly targeted advertisements toward artist and festival audiences on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Friends of Friends also contracted notable influencers in the EDM space to create and post organic content. Friends of Friends then worked with third-party promoters and media publications to expand awareness by posting across their social platforms. Outside of digital promotions, Friends of Friends executed an extensive street team campaign in New York, Boston, and Philadelphia as well as a run of billboards in Brooklyn to create IRL promotional touchpoints.
Result
2022: Over 5,500 tickets to the 2022 event were sold and increased the number of Elements Festival followers on Instagram by 85%
2023: Elements 2023 Sold Out. Attendance tripled and revenue increased by over 300%. Elements Festival Instagram followers increased by 47%.
